Hamed Wardak is an Afghan-American and one of eight founders of the Campaign for a US-Afghanistan Partnership (CUSAP), a nonprofit organization of American and Afghan citizens, guided by a vision for achieving sustainable security and prosperity in Afghanistan. He is also a founder of Fedayeen-e-Sol, a broad-based and multiethnic civil society movement aiming for national and governmental reform in Afghanistan through non-violent means, and the founding vice-president of the Afghan-American Chamber of Commerce. His father is Abdul Rahim Wardak, the Defense Minister of Afghanistan.
