For more than 20 years, Harbrinder has provided networking and telecommunications leadership to organizations ranging from Silicon Valley startups to Fortune 100 companies. Harbrinder engages audiences globally on topics ranging from IoE (Internet of Everything) for social benefit, to the Network Effect and its impact in CSR, to the future of collaboration technologies.

Harbrinder currently leads the Cisco Corporate Affairs team responsible for delivering Cisco’s longest-running, most globally-scaled and highest impact CSR program, the Cisco Networking Academy. The Academies provide ICT education to more than one million students in over 166 countries each year. In this role, he is responsible for strategic development, growth and evolution of Networking Academy’s delivery platform, NetSpace. Transforming and extending this scalable platform to leverage the power of connection, collaboration and innovation, this game-changing engine for social impact will empower global problem solvers to generate exponential impact, and deliver shared value for Cisco.

Harbrinder previously led the Collaboration Technologies team within Cisco, where he directed the vision and strategy for Cisco’s Integrated Workforce Experience (IWE) collaboration platform. Harbrinder applied a holistic approach of culture, process, and technology to drive enterprise transformation, with a focus on user experience design and agile development.

In earlier roles, Harbrinder worked closely with business unit leaders to define Cisco’s security strategy, and was instrumental in acquisitions and investments in the VPN and security spaces. Before Cisco, Harbrinder was Vice President of Business Development at Bivio Networks, where he managed strategic accounts, hardware and software partnerships, and at Ubicom, a leading supplier of Internet processors and networking software. He led Ubicom's strategy to deliver end-to-end solutions in collaboration with industry leaders and partners.

Harbrinder is married with three children. His interests include his family, modern architecture and construction, and aikido. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Birmingham, England.
