Saving the planet won't be easy -- and it's certainly not something you can do alone. That's why I need your help -- and that's why I've joined teamearth.com.
We all know that our planet is at a critical juncture: and humanity needs a healthy planet to survive.
The facts could not be more clear: The burning and clearing of tropical forests puts more carbon into the atmosphere than the entire world's cars, trucks, planes, trains, and ships combined. When our forests disappear, temperatures rise. Luckily, there is an immediate solution that requires only political will: save the forests that provide so many benefits for us all.
That's why Team Earth is issuing an urgent, immediate challenge by teaming up with the Prince's Rainforest Project to call for swift action and funding to reduce tropical deforestation -- and create incentives for a new approach to environmentally friendly economic development.
To succeed, we will need the support of the governments and communities of rainforest nations, meaningful involvement from private investors and the governments of major developed countries -- and the citizens who can force them to act.
That's where you come in.
By signing up you can join the chorus calling for urgent action to fight climate change by addressing rainforest destruction -- and help assure that we can gain the support of the many partners needed to win this fight.
It's that easy. Just join Team Earth and we'll help you do your part.
We've done great things before, and now is the time for us to do them once more.
Are you in?
Into team earth include S.C. Johnson and your CEO Fisk Johnson?
Fisk Johnson, to look like a champion environmentalist especially "credible"
must first resolve a serious problem in South America
caused by a plant (Podesta) Company
S.C. Johnson & Son de Argentina. (Argentina: Developing Nation)
There on the Net to find one place where
documentary information on the environmental impacts
caused by the industrial plant S.C. Johnson & Son
The site is http://terratox.org/
Specifically on groundwater contamination by hydrocarbons
http://terratox.org/HistNapas/HistNapas.htm
About twice the environmental impact resulting company will find:
Pollutants released during his Major Industrial Accidents.
http://terratox.org/SituaToxic/contamaccid.htm
By pollutants released by industrial activity daily.
http://terratox.org/SituaToxic/contamfuncion.htm
More info at: http://terratoxnews.wordpress.com/
Mr. Fisk:
First we need to preserve life and environmental health of human beings
who are targets of environmental impacts around the plant
located in industrial Pablo Podesta, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Only after the saplings and fame.
Mr. Ford: REITERATES: your dreams are nice
These are some really tough choices - you know.

I have refused to donate to or participate in any "environmental" group, fund, or movement that does not have family planning right out front as part of its plan to tackle the future sustainability of the balance of Earth's resources.
Fanned!
I agree 100% and will not donate to or participate in any "environmental" fund, movement, or organization that doesn't now address exponentially growing populati0n right up front.
Well said!
Fanned.
I applaud you, sir, in your desire to take a second look at the environment. However, I do feel that in many ways, you come late to the party. i do understand the desire to engage corporate entities into this dialogue, but after awhile the charm wears off and one realizes they come with too many restrictions.
But I have come to the more impolite moment here, and I do question your motives:
Did your manager put you up to this? Is this actually coming from what would call a "soul" (I do know how difficult it is in the entertainment industry to hold onto that, just look at any of the nasty comments to Ms. Spears, etc. It is hard to hold onto these days.)
I am a fan, but, imho, that last one sucked rocks. And I am not looking forward to the fifth one. If this is in any way to polish an image for the next possible stinker, you can count me out.
But, like Pascal hedging bets, again I applaud your desire to address these issues. Please check out Earth Day 2.0. Remember, the last one was about a year ago. I don't remember you there.
But please sir, don't let Team Earth be used by companies like Pepsico.
Let's think about this. Does soda make people healthy? Products like soda that uses High Fructose Corn Syrup, are known contributors to diabetes and a vast array of health problems.
I think Team Earth means that it's concerned about planet and people, correct?
So how can a company that produces unhealthy products like Pepsico be a sponsor of Team Earth?
Yes, it could be a good forum for people to share ideas. But the site looks very corporate centric.
Also, why should fortune 100 companies that pollute the world and our bodies be sponsors? There are hundreds....thousands of eco/human friendly companies that could be sponsors of Team Earth, such as Seventh Generation, Patagonia, Aubrey Organics, Dr. Bronners, Eden Foods, etc. These companies and many others provide quality wholesome products that are good for our bodies and for the environment.
I can almost expect Chevron to be a sponsor of Team Earthr, if they paid enough money. Wouldn't that be incredible, since they polluted the amazon rainforest for the past 3 decades.

Not only is eating less meat good for the planet, it is better for you as well.
And why the big corporate sponsors? Feels like greenwashing to me.
Americans use 3x the amount of energy that our European counterparts do. Guess what? If we scaled our lifestyles back to match that of Europeans, WE WOULD NOT NEED TO IMPORT ANY OIL. The US could be energy independent. We wouldn't need to invade foreign countries to steal their oil. And we would not be responsible for the global ecological damage that we are causing, not just in the rainforests, but in ecosystems around the world.
How could you make a start on cutting back your energy use?
-Buy local seasonal produce. Don't buy produce from South America (how about that for making an impact on the rain forests?). If it's not fresh and local, don't eat it. Quit buying and eating seafood unless it is locally caught. Yes, this means DOING WITHOUT sometimes. Don't be a greedy pig.
-Move closer to work. Agitate for decent mass transit where you live, and organize people to demand it.
-Quit buying cheap junk made in foreign countries by what is essentially slave labor. (Did it ever occur to you that Americans still have slaves - they're just in foreign countries.) Realize that buying more stuff is not in YOUR interests, or the planet's interests. It's in the interests of advertisers who make you think you want or need that junk. Just say "no"
-Make do with less. Reduce, re-use, recycle.
