Wednesday night on CNN's Anderson Cooper Show (it is a show, now, isn't it?) and Thursday morning on MSNBC, I caught stories recapping the WP-in-Fallujah controversy. CNN included, but MSNBC did not, the fact that the State Department originally denied the use of the weapon in that venue. Both nets failed to note the date of the Italian documentary on RAI, the program that fueled (sorry) the controversy--more than a week ago. Who says cable news is only about the moment?
PS: No one has yet asked why RAI, under the control of Italian PM Silvio Berlusconi, has so aggressively gone after Silvio's pal GWB on this issue. So I will.
