Herman Wouk is best known for his books The Winds of War and War and Remembrance, which were both number-one bestsellers and remained on the New York Times list for more than a year. Of his earlier works, The Caine Mutiny won the Pulitzer Prize, and Marjorie Morningstar followed, the most widely read American novel of 1955. Wouk is also the author of This Is My God and The Will to Live On. Among his plays, The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial is an ongoing international success. Wouk and his wife of 64 years currently live in Palm Springs, California, where he is at work on a new novel. Wouk will turn 95 this spring.
