I blogged yesterday about going easier on Gov Palin on the experience quotient. Though I outline lots of other reasons I think she would be a disaster as Veep.
This morning I have some pause on my or ANY argument to totally eliminate the experience quotient. I heard Richard Haas, the President of the Council on Foreign Relations tell this anecdote:
"On September 11th, while GWB was being whisked around the country and sequestered, Dick Cheney was in the Situation Room at the White House seeking private permission from the President to shoot down aircraft who entered US airspace. Can we imagine Sarah Palin making those split second decisions?"
Now Imagine Joe Biden in that same situation.
Now don't start screaming at me about what a disaster war monger Dick Cheney has been. That is related to my point. We know they made the wrong decision after 9/11 to go into Iraq. But "day of"? Different story.

If women show courage and intelligence, this right - winged character won't be a melanoma or heartbeat away from the situation room....Just don't vote her...simply support and volunteer for Obama /Biden...
This is not a female thing. This is a Palin thing. The thought of her, as president is very scary. She make Goldwater and McCarthy look like commies.
Reagan Democrat women are not doubt no dumber than their men. But I'm really scared that this combination of all the archetypes these mass white women love--Miss Congeniality, Erin Brockovich, Helen Hunt's Mom in As Good As It Gets, all bonded to a pit bull in lipstick--is about to become the most popular woman in America with the uneducated white female masses. If that happens, we can all kiss feminism good-bye. And America with it--whether in terms of domestic or foreign policy or that crisis in the Situation Room. But let's face it, the American morons of both genders voted for Bush TWICE, and Palin, by their standards, is 50 times more appealing than Bush. Plus she does it in heels.
Which makes it that much more important that each of us do something about it. That do something means working to get Obama elected.
Palin is a disaster. Last night she didn't mention once any of the policies she stands for. Instead, she made it into a personality contest. This election is too important to let people vote in ignorance.
Palin - bush on steroids. Terrific.
