Hillary Peterson is CEO of Marie Veronique Organics and, in the words of her kids, a sunscreen activist. As a thyroid cancer and melanoma survivor, there’s nothing more important to her than spreading the word about important sunscreen and skin care issues. As a marketer with a passion, she not only promotes the Marie Veronique Organics brand, but also the larger issues related to the environment, health and wellness. She has learned that what goes on your skin goes into your body and she is determined to share with consumers what she learns from the scientific community about potentially toxic ingredients in our everyday products. Her ultimate goal is to encourage a shift in how people shop and therefore to inspire industry to take a more responsible approach to the creation of personal care products.

Before finding her perfect job, Hillary held the position of Sr. Advertising Manager for the 501 and the Women’s Jeans brands as well as Retail Marketing Manager for the Levi’s brand at Levi Strauss and Co. Hillary lives in Mill Valley, California with her husband and three children.
