Lady Gaga Wins Top Bid for Dinner with Van Zandts

Posted: Updated:

At the charity dinner for Little Kids Rock last night at New York City's Edison Ballroom, Lady Gaga won the winning bid at a whopping $13K for dinner with Steven and Maureen Van Zandt. The Van Zandts visited Intermediate School 162 Lola Rodriguez De Tio in the Bronx a few weeks ago to jam with the students and donate musical instruments to the school on behalf of Little Kids Rock and Little Steven's Rock and Roll Forever Foundation.

Gaga plans to dine with the Van Zandts at Parma, a restaurant where she worked as a waitress years ago and, in fact, served Steven when she was 19 years old. Afterwards, she called her father (a big Springsteen fan), telling him Van Zandt ordered gnocchi.

Van Zandt hosts the historic 500th episode of his hit weekly national radio show Little Steven's Underground Garage tonight, live, at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square with special guests Billie Joe Armstrong, Steve Buscemi, Vinny Pastore, Debbie Harry, Darlene Love, Jesse Malin, and more. The event will also be webcast live on undergroundgarage.com starting at 6:30pm.

Little Steven's Underground Garage debuted April 7, 2002 and has 1.2 million listeners in the U.S. alone. The program is heard internationally in nine countries and also globally on the American Forces Network, making it the most successful Rock Music radio program in the past 30 years. Check local listings to find out where it airs in your area.
