Homa Sorouri is a graduate student at the New School University. She is getting her Masters degree in International Affairs. She studied International Relations in Tehran University before she got a Fulbright scholarship to study in the US.

Currently she is working with Queens university in a project on Democracy, Parliament and Afghan women. She worked in a project with Center for Policy and Human Development (CPHD), based at Kabul University and she translated the Afghanistan National Human Development Report 2007 from English to Dari. She has worked in the Afghanistan Embassy in Tehran. Homa was born in Herat, a city in west Afghanistan. She was a kid when her family immigrated to Iran due to continuing conflict in Afghanistan.
