Honor Moore is the author of three collections of poetry, including Red Shoes. Her biography of her grandmother, the painter Margarett Sargent, titled The White Blackbird, was named a New York Times Notable Book of the Year. Her writing has appeared in such publications as The New York Times, The American Scholar, The New Yorker, and O: The Oprah Magazine. A recipient of fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts, Moore lives in New York City and teaches at The New School and Columbia universities.
