Most people worry about whether their apartment or yard is big enough before taking on a pet. Judie, a homeless woman living under a bridge in West L.A., still manages to make a home for herself, her fiancé and her three dogs in a tent.
Out of the 3.5 million homeless Americans, only 5-10% have pets. Most people assume she can't care for them, but what we caught on film was the refreshing and surprising story of a family who survive each day with little more than one another.
This family is being featured as part of the "Dogs Are My Home" exhibit at the National Museum of Animals and Society in Los Angeles.
