On Monday night, Arianna spoke with Barbara Walters' on her weekly radio show Here's Barbara. They discussed Sarah Palin, what Arianna would say if the president called, and the reasoning behind Arianna's beyond Left and Right philosophy.
"I'm fine to be called a liberal," Arianna explained. "My problem is with the analysis that sees everything as divided as right versus left when you have major alliances among people who are liberals, people who are conservative, agreeing on things like reforming Wall Street, on things like not escalating in Afghanistan, on things like providing health care for the uninsured."

From Generals MacArthur to Shinseki, history has taught us that trying to pressure your commander-in-chief from the outside almost never results in a change of opinion from the president.

Dearest Arianna,
Isn't it true that the "Main Stream Media" is mostly "fact and reason" based, and is designed to reach Americans about events that help us be informed?
Isn't it true that the Huffington Post is part of the MSM?
Isn't it true that "special interests" demonize the MSM because their "interests" are different than giving "fact and reason" based information to Americans?
Isn't it true that those "special interests" information providers refer to the MSM as the "liberal media", as if that is a bad thing?
Can we conclude that the "liberal media" is, in fact, "main stream" and is different than the "special interests" media?
Please help Barbara understand these distinctions so she doesn't continue to refer to the "liberal media" as if it were different than the MSM and a bad thing.
Thanks for all you do.
Arianna, I love you. I feel better every time I see/hear a clip of your participation in a TV/radio show. I feel better every time I read your columns. Thank you so much. You're a great person. I'm grateful for you in this scary time. I spend a large part of my free time reading about political issues and most of the time, I feel more anxious about everything. But you're sane and smart and insightful and decent, and that is no small thing.
it sure would be nice if more partisan nutcases listened to Arianna.
especially here on the huffpo.
I agree!
