HuffPost's Alex Wagner Discusses Donald Trump's Embrace Of Birtherism On 'The Last Word With Lawrence O'Donnell' (VIDEO)

Posted: 04/ 1/11 12:08 AM ET

HuffPost's Alex Wagner appear on 'The Last Word With Lawrence O'Donnell' on Thursday night to discuss Donald Trump's recent embrace of birther-ism.

"This is a controversy that isn't going away because Donald Trump is keeping it alive," explained Wagner.

After O'Donnell played a clip of Trump discussing Muslims, Wagner said, "Donald Trump is fueling really negative conversation around multiracialism," and "between 2000 and 2010, there was a 50% increase in multiracial youth born in this country and here's someone that is purportedly running for President in 2012 and is casting aspersions on the nation's first biracial President, and I think that that is a disturbing thing."

Wow, very few have anything to say about the UGLIEST thing ever, taking place in the USA media right now!

What happened to those ole days when Dan Rather was let go for not being nice to a POTUS??

I'll simply say, does a (country) that TRASHES it's President & it's President's dead mother, really need to wonder why other countries would continously view it, in a negative way?

I like Alex Wagner. She doesn't really say anything new but she does it in such a pretty and bubbly way I'll watch her every time she's on!

Karl Rove is funny. Obama set this trap? I don't think think Obama made the trap. Republican made the trap and got themselves shot in the foot.

Clearly they were time travelers who knew that 40+ years after their son's birth that American voters would elect a black man.

After listening to him on O'Reilly via market-ticker.org if he runs a campaign with these positions expressed tonight he wins. He could run without a party and win. Hell, I don't like the guy so much, but I'd vote for this as a set of policies. There are things I disagree with, but there are a lot more that I've not heard from any of the so-called "mainstream" candidates, and they're spot-on. The mainstream GOP and Tea Party are pathetic.

he, like Palin, are not interested in being the POTUS they are just interested in being popular and making as much money as they can ....so they will say or do whatever to fatten their bank accounts..
