Arianna was a panelist on The Jay Leno Show tonight, along with actor Stephen Baldwin, comedian Jim Norton, and Daily Beast columnist Meghan McCain, to discuss current events from what has been a bizarre week of news.
Among the topics they covered were the relentless and absurd media coverage of the balloon boy hoax; Rush Limbaugh being forced out of a group bidding for the St. Louis Rams; and free second honeymoons in Malaysia for couples on the verge of divorce.

Check out this backstage video in which all the panelists are asked which one of their co-panelists they would bring to a desert island. They all chose Arianna! (Albeit for very different reasons.)

Wow, Arianna! You are everywhere. I would like to be on a deserted island with you too just to take in your grasp of the world and its issues. Keep up the good work!
It would be great if AH would take on Limbaugh on his own show and school him. AH would absolutely crush Rush Limbaugh.
Keep up the great work, Arianna! You are the only in the media who is constantly talking about Wall Street's ridiculous bonuses and reminding Washington to focus on fixing the economy and getting Americans back to work. Thank you.
Keep up the great work, Arianna. You are a beacon of sanity in the waste land of cable stupidity and distraction. The American people are SO dumb, and so idiotically sentimental, that they are literally puppets in the hands of their media manipulators. When will our masses grow up and seek out intelligent analysis of the issues that are literally wiping the poor fools out economically every day of their lives, instead of obsessing over balloon hoaxes served up by cable TV every day of the week?
You realize the most of the media is Leftists, don't you?
Most of the media are journalists, when they fact check, and entertainers when they don't.
Congrats to Arianna. She was the smartest one and made the most sense in that group.
What was Megan's balloon issue? I could guess...
OK JAY I THINK YOU FOUND A NEW FORMAT THAT I LIKE, BUT I DO NOT have cable, so i can only watch on the net, due to really lousy digital signal,
"cardboard box boy": Yeah, I think I like that better.
How about a section for sports?
Now that I think about it, WHY IS THERE NO SPORTS SECTION IN THE HP?? Is it because it's a chic-magazine, and as we all know, girls don't like sports and would rather look at the Style Section or the HARD HITTING Living section. (sarcasm implied, don't get all hormonal HP readers, OK)
That was neat:)
To bad they did not have a black person aware of Rush Limbaugh's comments. Evidently since the panelist were not the target of Mr. Limbaugh's white supremacist rhetoric they were not in the mood to take him to task. For some reason some people are unable to look through the eyes of others.
More likely they just dont grasp what racism is. After all, they dont experience it. To them, its a tack on to their own ideological differences to conservatives. Its not as if they have to feel the brunt of it.
To which "comments" do you refer? The ones that have been debunked and discredited?
Are you saying that ESPN doctored the video of his live appearance on their show?
Arinanna's reply was awesome and accurate. It still amazes me ... that so many "white" people are insensitive, dismissive and callous when it comes to the "feelings" and "observations" of African-Americans ... I guess "walking" in someone elses shoes DOES NOT apply when that "person" IS African-American. How else can these fairly well to do "white" guys make such assine statements about Rev Sharpton? And totally MISS the point Arianna made? What is that about????
Arianna is the smartest person on that otherwise fluff-filled 'panel'.
Arianna,
Donate the books that are taking up space in your home to the public library.
Why? She can money donate to a library if she wants. Some folks like to have their walls lined with nice books. Book shelves are personal, and all the spines of the books make a kind of intellectual wall-paper, but they're good for reference and lending to friends as well. I think people should keep maintaining big personal libraries.
didn't watch the interview, eh?
Jimmy Fallon is funnier than any of these talkers
I'm enjoying Jay's show a lot more lately. I think he's smoothing things out. The interviews aren't stilted like they seemed before, and I really enjoyed this panel thing. I hope he brings it back to the show.
Thank God. I'm not the only one on Huffpo that likes Jay. I also like Dave. It's possible to like both.
I love Jay and his show is getting better.
