Arianna appeared Wednesday on MSNBC's 'Morning Joe' to discuss the country's jobs crisis.

Making the connection between Hurricane Irene and the jobs crisis, Arianna said, "we have not done what needed to be done around jobs. And what happened with Hurricane Irene can really be a lesson about how we can now act when it comes to basically Hurricane Jobs. Because it is a crisis that's blowing over the country. It's not going away."

She continued, "there is an enormous amount we can do, both at the federal, the state level, and in our own neighborhoods. So we need to start acting."

Arianna also explained that saving the middle class should not be a partisan issue. "There is nothing right or left about saving the middle class. Everybody wants to save the middle class, so this is another area where we don't need to be polarized and paralyzed," said Arianna.
