"We want to do real journalism that puts flesh and blood on the data," Arianna told Kathleen Parker and Eliot Spitzer on Monday night. "We feel that journalism has become too much about numbers, too much about polling data, and we've lost the story."
Arianna was on CNN's "Parker Spitzer" to talk about AOL's recent acquisition of The Huffington Post, and the discussion covered both the business model (AOL means more traffic for HuffPost) and the content model (she stressed moving beyond the left-and-right dichotomy used all too often in describing news).
Of course, a meeting of these minds wouldn't have been complete without touching on President Barack Obama's visit to the Chamber of Commerce.
