I don't know if I'm the only one who noticed but I can't help but think Charlie has a not-so-subtle crush on Arianna. I don't think I've ever seen him giggle so much!

Number one -- This time CR behaved himself because last time he made a horse's ass of himself.
Number two -- Arianna was her usual fabulous self. Totally in control but with something special. She made those who participate in the HUFFPO exercise feel some legitimacy, some small importance, some right to express themselves in their way on her site. Good on you madam,

Charlie Rose has become a great source of info since the meltdown.

Who wants something to eat, Right or Left?
Who wants a solid career with great benefits or perks, Right or Left?
Who wants the police to show up minutes if not seconds after an urgent call for law enforcement goes out in the night, Right or the Left?
Who wants their children to succeed, the Right or the Left?
Who wants their taxes eased -- Right or Left?

Is being Right or Left a way to avoid the death stipulation or penalty, which is a balancing part of the natural contract of life lived? If not, Right and Left designations and exhortations only hold so much sway, better to judge always in the bright lights of walk, not talk. Mr. Obama needed to be Right about the issues of these times and assure me that he has Left the Bush years far behind. Radical is not Right or Left, it is radical. My radical side is not just Right and Left, or it does not only operate on the x plane. It is multi-faceted, as a sphere of projectiles "coming out at ya" in 3d. Now all that this means is that I try to be honest with others and myself. I try to help where I can. I make no excuses and I take none either. This is what I look for in a leader. There are no Gods among us -- I am afraid. There are awe-inspiring reflections of the pristine nature of embodied and expressed excellence however.

I got Scooped! While figuring how to Blog, to post that, I got beat! RE: C. Rose: w/ my Bckgrnd in Journalism; I trust very few Journalists. Rose earned it. Kudos to an Interview, so well made, it compelled me to "Goodsearch" Huffington, join it, and get scooped. Rose is a savvy Reporter and Democracy"s Lifeblood! Can we regain the Freedom to THINK for Ourselves, we"ve lost? Obama will NEED People like Rose, Moyers, & others of equal ken, to keep Hope Alive.

I love Charlie Rose and was excited for tonight when I saw that Arianna would be on tonight. I have been a big fan of this site and also of Left Right and Center for a long time. Once again, Arianna has totally impressed me. The stuff about the search for meaning and defending that search against Charlie's quip about New Age stuff. Fantastic. Keep being you Arianna and keep sharing you with the rest of us!!!

Arianna was sterling, if not gold on Roseland. A bother for me is she again, as I have seen before from others, recounted that the internet gave Obama the lead in fundraising and support, yet left out the most important ingredient that it is mostly the young who use it and they sense the change in the definition of this new leadership. Our shifting consciousness places more knowing in our young faces as to what is needed to support the radical new global culture rapidly emerging.

I'm watching Arriana while I'm writing this. I just had to point out this one little exchange she had with Charlie. She mentioned that she "linked" something in her blog and Rose said, "what's linking". At first I thought he was having a hard time with her accent, but I went back and checked.

Charlie Rose doesn't know what a link is? (?)

I'm not trying to be mean, it's just sort of odd to think that at this point anyone connected with media of any kind could be so, seemingly, out-of-touch with the internet. (I thought it was just John McCain)

Charlie Rose is well-known as a gadget freak.

His show airs on PBS, and I would guess has a lot of elderly viewers who may not know what a link is.

I figure he said that for the benefit of listeners who might not understand...but I have seen cases where folks in "competing" media complain without any real understanding or experience. His boss, Mayor Bloomberg, was a little slow in seeing the importance of the internet, as witnessed by early interviews with Mr. Rose. But now, they are both among the greatest facilitators.
