Arianna appeared on "Larry King" Friday night, where she discussed what may have motivated Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich and how the attempt to connect Obama and Blagojevich is off the mark.

Influence peddling by any other name is still influence peddling. Emanuel has the stench of Blago all over himself. He should do the right thing and step down, like Blago's chief of staff did.
This "connection" that all the anchors and analyst are trying perpetuate with Blago, Rahm and Obama is just plain old needle hunting. Not only do politicians recommend other politicians, this is normal and routine process in the Corporate World as well and even at very low level subordinates. I was a manager for 23 years for one of the largest Air Freight Companiesin the world and when a employee moved or resigned for other employement, we always took recommendations for new hires or in house promotions. Most companies would rather hire someone that they have a reliable source from than go straight to the classified ads. But when we filled Management positions, most of the time they were from recommendations and referrals or the next person in line that qualified within the company.
Certainly Obama or Rahm for several years would have had some type of contact with the Governor of their state. This is ridiculous to think that they didn't have conversations. The defining line is that Obama did not have any deal making conversations with this psycopathic Governor.
Thank goodness for Arriana. The voice of reason in a sea of innuendo's by a corporate press gone wild.

To be honest, it's a breath of fresh air to have Arianna as a voice in the media. "It must be destiny."
It feels so good. Thank you!
Arianna thinks clearly and is well informed. I hope people realize how we benefit by having Arianna in the media and Obama in the white House. I and happy they are friends.
In service to humanity,
Ed
Finally someone with some sense in the media said something. Thank you Arrianna
No pundit is as insightful and and articulate as Arianna Huffington, but no person of principle should appear on a panel with the likes of Boortz.
I'm with Arianna. The media has fabricated a story and they are pimping it for all it's worth for viewership. Larry King is part of that media, whether he wishes to acknowledge it or not.
What's sad is that there is plenty of juicy scandal to go around here... Blago himself could fill the news, and the possible problems for Jesse Jackson Jr. would provide more than enough fodder for more founded speculation.
But they're wasting all these resources trying to tie it to Obama. They're letting the real story pass them by.
And of course, in the meantime, they're wasting the time of a group of people who are trying to figure out how to save our country from economic destruction.
It's all Blago All the Time. Seems to me the media didn't cover A bram off this way...
All day long we get the same "Breaking News"-Fitzgerald says there is no connection-yet the media keeps trying to go from A to Z. I have a connection story idea for ya', George W. Bush was Governor of Texas. John F. Kennedy was killed in Texas. Therefore there on conclusion can be drawn from these "facts", George W. Bush killed President John F. Kennedy. Come on Wolf, Chris, and Sean, fill some airtime with that bit of HARD HITTING, IN-DEPTH, GO-GETTER "journalism".
The voice of sanity and reason in the wilderness.
Thank you!
It makes me mad to see Faux News attempt to draw a connection between Blago and Obama.
I lived in California. I guess that makes me a terminator.
Arianna's right on. The MSM are always hungry for a scandal in general, and couldn't help themselves any more than the various Republican mouthpieces, in trying to manufacture a controversial linkage. The facts couldn't be any more blatantly exculpatory, and yet, even at a place said to be completely "in the tank for Obama," MSNBC, Chuck Todd was saying that O swung and missed, took too long (24 to 48 hrs...) to "sound the right note on this," etc. Then Keith O was talking to that guy from Newsweek with the British accent, (Richard Wolf?) and he took it even further suggesting O hasn't been completely forthcoming, needs to come clean, and of course there must have been contact and we need to know exactly what that contact was, etc. ...
Yes we know there must have been contact. How else would Blago have gotten the message that Obama was not willing to play? Since we are 100% sure that is the message that Blago received, then how could there possibly be any chance that there is any tainted linkage between Obama and Blago? They hurt their own credibility by pursuing a story line that reaches out so far to propose a connection where the facts so clearly disprove it.
Thank you, Thank you Ariana. I wish the recession would hit the msm---give the bums their walking papers.
