Excellent job Arianna, I love you...I am very impressed by your passion. Thank God for you Arianna, thank u for telling the truth, somebody needs to.

Why don't the democrats learn from Arianna. Don't attack the little things attack the big thing. Make John McCain run as an incumbent: Repeat after me

After 8 years of John McCain and the Republicans they have brought the economy to its knees.

After 8 years of John McCain and the Republicans borrow and spend policies. We are now in debt to the world.

After 8 years of John McCain and the Republicans Osama bin Ladin is still free, the terrorists are still attacking our embassies and we are still losing American lives in a mistaken war in Iraq.

After 8 years of John McCain and the Republicans the best reason they can find for you to re-elect them is Sarah Palin!

This is exactly what I've been trying to tell people. No need to exaggerate, they're giving us all the ammunition we'll ever need--the truth!

As a VP or President Ms Palin would need top security clearance would she not? There didn't seem to be enough time between her being chosen by McCain and the announcement - how would the clearance be done, is her background being studied now?

She apparently tells her husband everything, so would he also have top security clearance? Is he also being investigated?

I am a great fan of Arianna Huffington---this is the first web site I have ever participated in as a "blogger," and it's mainly because I am so admiring of Arianna's poise and her ease of expression when interviewed on TV...so I came here to see what it was all about, and got hooked on the truth presented here.Thanks,Arianna.

Same here. I never have participated in blogging, posting, whatever. Now I cannot miss my daily dose of Huffington Post. Plus my daily dose of all of you fellow posters. Ya'll make my day!

I'm with you but I think what is happening is rational people are desperate to find solace with other like-minded individuals. The real question is what about the still huge chunk of the American public that buys all this Palin b.s.? In the Sunday New York Times magazine yesterday there is an interview with a well-known conservative social scientist, clearly intelligent and well-educated, who says he's in love with her (his words exactly). So it's not just the rural, uneducated, etc. etc. I just don't get it and it scares the hell out of me.

I think Arrianna should interview Palin. That is must watch TV.

Don't reckon Sarah would go for it, but That Would Be Interesting.

What I like about Arianna she's not a hothead, or aggressive unlike McCain's female surrogates. She thinks before she speaks and it isn't based on emotion, it's based on observations. Her thoughts are complete and make a lot of sense. Most of all, she's truthful!

I love Arianna and do not like Palin.

Mrs Huff, will you marry me?

me: with my kneeling from the floor.

just watched palin on the campaign trail today. she's continuing to lie. also, today she said that only mccain cares about this country because he was a POW. our financial market is bottoming out, and that's the only reason you have to make me feel better about the economy?? you've got to be kidding me. I would have respected her a bit more if she didn't lie with such a straight face. also noted that mccain's campaign has asked for an easier debate with biden because she hasn't had that much experience in debate. she's the one mccain picked to be ready on day one?

I am a democrat, thus would not subscribe to the McCain/Palin ticket no matter what. However, as a mother I cannot imagine how Sara Palin could choose to subject her teenage daughter to the national media given her condition. I suspect that Bristol and Levi are not all that enamoured of each other, but even if they were, to shove them into the national spotlight is not an act of love or caring. It is an act of Narcissim.
Add to that her disregard of the extremely high rate of rape in Alaska and her insistance that rape victims pay for their own rape kit, and you have a very unappealing picture. The rape kit collects evidence for the state in order to prosecute the rapist. It does not belong to the victim, thus she (or he) should not have to pay for it.
Palin is a cold, unempathetic woman. She is scary.

I totally agree with you and I think the facts of this dysfunctional family should bear discussion and careful thought when someone considers the GOP ticket.
I also saw a report talking about how Palin frequently takes her children to work, even showing a baby swing in the gov. office.
Women of America that are working moms should be outraged at that. We do not get to take our children to work, we spend tons of money on childcare, we lose PAY when we miss work because of our children. She is a joke and I agree that she is scary.
Please folks, this ticket is so out of touch with the true Americans we all represent.

Arianna nailed it. Despite the efforts of Palin/McCain to distract voters, reality has intervened and brought national attention on the incompetence, corruption, and mendacity of the neo-conservative Republican party. I suspect that a significant number of conservative Americans will actually vote for Obama/Biden even while they publicly express support for a Republican ticket. They're realizing how absolutely catastrophic, how utterly bereft of ideas, and how completely corrupt the McCain/Palin ticket is.

With a little cyber snooping I found some info regarding the real reason Palin fired Monegan. Surely this woman couldn't have been vetted properly.

Can't imagine why you would use this to make a judgement about anything. This has been written about extesively by any number of journalists and the Anchorage Times. What was said in that blog is as inaccurarate as they come. Palin said this week that she fired him because of an unauthorized trip to Washington to lobby for money for the State Police. Yesterday that lie was shot down when someone released a document signed by her Chief-of-Staff authorizing him to go.

I eat my words, women, even a small fraction of them are not a dumb as I thought. Palin's true colors are beginning to show and these women are starting to run away from this farce and support of failed policies. Sarah only cares about the advancement of Sarah, not all women.
The ones who remain are the segment of the electorate that will not do much for the advancement of collective issues and to them we can only offer our sympathy because that kind of mental disfunction can only be pitied.
