I admit I got a hoot out of watching those Mike Huckabee/Chuck Norris ads during the primaries. I'm not laughing now. I used to watch his Walker series for reassuring episodes of good triumphing over evil. But for an "honorable man," Norris' behavior towards Arianna was borish and rude. It's easier to be good man when you're riding high, but when things are neck and neck it seems Norris and McCain are not only willing to get down into the dirt but eager to cast the first stone.

I watched that Larry King show and I was so disappointed in Ariana. I thought she would be much more intellectual than petty, and frankly I was surprised at how articulate Mr. Totalgym was. I don't really like him, but Ariana was completely outclassed. I mistakenly thought she was sharper than that, but instead she just let him pull her into the trap of a petty argument which she then lost. Maybe next time she'll be more prepared than some useless muscle-head.

You must be punch drunk. Chuck Norris "articulate"? Outclassed?

The guy sounded like Bill O'Reilly.

"I've been to Iraq! I've talked to commanders!"

Come on!

Not only that he has visited over there but that he

"has done 2 tours" in Iraq.

I always thought a tour was when a soldier was assigned there. Seems like Chuck is mixing up his tough guy characters and reality. Sounded kind of like he was trying too hard and just coming off like a blowhard.
Sad.

You must have watched a different interview. The "petty argument", as you put it, was the US presence in Iraq, and the cost of the operation. Not petty. Furthermore, if by "lost" you mean her voice was drowned out by cowardly, emotional blurbs by Norris at every half phrase, you should probably be more honest in your description. Just be more honest.

But aside from these factoids - if you think Norris was eloquent, your judgment about anything is questionable.

What sad little losers these Republicans are. They won't answer a simple question. They
come out swinging, often when it's no more than shadow boxing They don't have their
facts, only the oft-repeated party lines which are always tired and meaningless. Chuck
is the perfect example of the unreasonable zealot: angry, inarticulate and interruptive.

It sure was obvious how nervous he was. Not cool in the presence of his "enemy". This is not a martial artist, he's a sniveling wimp. Besides being only 5' 6", he further shows how small he is. A true martial artist stays calm and confident and often times just shuns a fight.....I know, I have a red belt in Tae kwon Do. As you progress through the advanced belts you learn how to center yourself in the face of opposition........this guy was simply a wimp....beaten up by one of my favorites ladies around......good for you Ms. Huffington.

Remember when Chuck Norris got his ass kicked in a bar fight by somebody he was trying to intimidate? If Joe Biden talked over Sarah Palin like he talked over Ariana, then the GOP would be screaming "bully." I guess it's ok when THEY do it.

I'm amazed that this movie tough guy:
a) can't come up with arguments better
b) can't answer direct questions
c) had the freaking gall to say that he "did two tours over there". How incredibly insulting. I must have missed him when he was over there. I guess I was, you know, fighting.

Too bad this fool either is lying, or was lied to. I know many soldiers that support us being there, but I know more that want us to leave so we can send more resources to Afghanistan.

Typical right wing bully. If you can't defend the position, then belittle the opponent. Notice Norris chuckling at the end. What is so funny about our soldiers getting killed and maimed?

Why doesn't someone ask Chuck who we are actually fighting in Iraq? What are the objectives? How do we know when we have won? How many sons and daughters does Chuckie have in Iraq?

Please somebody hold these a-holes up to the light and expose their hypocrisy.

Yeah no kidding. He doesn't have any kids in Iraq like Sarah Palin or Joe Biden soon will.

Chuck Norris was saying a few months ago that McCain was just to old. What changed? Even though Norris is only a few years younger himself, than McCain.

I think we would all agree that Chuck Norris wears his age a little better than John McCain. Definitely don't agree with what he's saying, but it is true that he is in much better shape than skeletor McCain.

What changed? Chuck's man Huck dropped out of the race and McCain tapped Princess Caribou to be running mate, that's what...

Notice towards the end of the clip Norris has a slip of the tongue. He says "I'm backing Sarah Palin, so I'm sexist?" as a snide retort to Huffington's remark. If you find a longer clip of this Larry King episode (on Youtube for example), you'll see Norris making repeated statements that he hasn't decided where his vote will go, and that he is leaning towards a third candidate (unnamed). He is a transparently dishonest blowhard, and would rightly be an embarrassment to any campaign he endorses.

I wish Larry had a "shut up" switch! He could do a little better job of facilitating. Seems the ones that get the most air time are those who continually and rudely interrupt.

Chuck behaved like a pre-school bully, sitting there with a red face ready to explode all the time.

Larry, please invest in a "shut up" mic. I personally would have like to hear more of what Arianna had to say.

"... I did two tours there ..." ????

This is how the deluded misinformation moves from fiction to fact. It is very possible, if one isn't familiar with 68 year old actor's career - that he was inferring that he did two tours-of-duty as opposed to two USO tours.

It seems to me that even considering Norris' great military service as an Air Force Security Policeman, and his distinguished service as an enlisted man - his military expertise may not have been enough to discern the fact that no military service person in a war zone is unskilled enough to tell a movie star on USO Tour that he doesn't agree with his orders. Not only would that be highly risky, it would be a violation of the UCMJ and likely land the troop in deep poop.

So Norris is probably telling the truth when he says no military said to him - "let's get out of here" - but that doesn't reconcile the fact that he is now in contention for an 8th Degree Black Belt in being a dolt.

No black belt I know acts this way. He basically lost his composure and you would never see a real black belt do that. It's against their years of training to be calm and composed when facing adversity. He may have an 8th degree black belt but he behaves like someone who just got his orange belt (2nd or 3rd belt). I have no respect for him after seeing this. You can see this when these folks spare. The lower belt guys are more dangerous because they have little control over their bodies and minds. Then you watch black belts spare and you see centered-ness and calm. It's true they sometimes get angry but that's far and few between.

Why don't these filthy rich people like Norris just come out and say what's really on their minds. They don't want to pay any higher taxes, and screw the middle class and the poor.

I had no Idea Chucky did 2 tours in Iraq, you would think he strapped on gear and lead the surge. Poor poor Chucky i think he's having Missing In Action Flash backs, I wonder if he wakes up in a cold sweat thinking about the time he spent in the POW camp on that Hollywood Set.
