Ok,, in 2009 we are using untold numbers of trees and chemicals to create untold tonnage of waste paper to present a newspaper that consists of 10% news and 90% advertising, and people want to "save them"? Why?
Bravo Arianna, and you explained a lot for me in your presentation and the question-answer segment between you and Sen Kerry also was enlightening.
Arianna is right. The availability of news from multiple sources linked by search engines is the future,.
My only concern about the demise of newspapers is the loss of a source for fresh bird cage liners every day.
This was interesting to hear and very informative and insightful! Arianna did a fantastic job in pushing towards the future. Bravo!
I'm glad to see this issue being seriously discussed. There's so much more that can be done if everyone really gets behind the movement of news through the internet, and giving everyone equal access. Paying for access to sites, because the sites ask for it is one thing, but it's inexcusable to meter internet access as a provider. Information delivery systems are forever changed in our world and people can't refuse to acknowledge it anymore. Being set in your ways as a company or person is no excuse anymore.
Does this mean I have to lug my laptop around and looked at biased websites for 'news'?
Lord help us!
Say it ain't so dude!
Wonderful testimony, Arianna. On the chauvinistic male side, you look fantastic!
Every woman appreciates an honest compliment.
Arianna looks great!
Arianna's great herself. We're lucky we have her as a much needed voice of reason.
THANK GOD SHE LOOKED GREAT!
That is really what is important. Right, Dude?
