Great video, Arianna... Any video of the KO man is miles above normal media fare these days.

But a request: could you up the Video download quality to YouTube standards? You can let a YouTube video load in the background, then replay it at your leisure, repeatedly. Each time you watch the MSNBC video, you have to let it stream/buffer anew.

If it were not for Keith's program...very little truth is broadcast in this corporate media.

Very very good, Arianna. Really.

Both sides are full of $#!+ as far as I'm concerned. The problem is that both extremes, left and right, are overrepresented in talk radio, the blogosphere, and cable news.

The center hasn't been silenced, but it HAS been reduced to a whisper.

Well and the most dangerous "extreme" is in power and has been for the last 7 years. This is the biggest problem of all.

Arianna is dead on with this being a classic case or projection. Rush Limbaugh is an abusive idiot, and also a criminal. Why is it that he isn't in prison for the whole Oxycontin ordeal?

Arianna is so insightful and intelligent. She needs to run for President!

Rush is a tool of an industry that is terrified of losing control of one of the largest sectors of the economy, namely health care. They will do and say anything to keep the status quo. Rush is paid millions to attack all who are a threat to his benefactors. Hopefully Rush and the healthcare corporations that help fund him will be swept aside by public demand for affordable healthcare. Don't worry though, drug-addled Rush will still have the energy and military/industrial sectors to work for.

Rush and Ann Coulter like to pawn themselves of as "entertainers" (cuz lawdy knows they have nowhere near anything like journalistic standards to account for the filth they spew). The liken themselves to Maher, Stewart, Colbert, et al but the forget one thing. There's a massive difference in the target of Maher and Stewart and Limbaugh and Coulter. The trained comedians actually come closer to journalistic integrity because the target of their ire tends to be politicians, business leaders, and celebrities, people who have gone out of their way to put themselves in a position of prestige and self-importance. People who have all the resources in the world to defend themselves when their credibility is attacked (and usually the criticm for justifiable reasons).

Rush and Ann and many on the lunatic right get their jollies off by putting down 9-11 widows, illegal immigrants, the disabled, and now little children. And in the case of Graeme Frost, they choose to pick on a kid who has more moral character and who is stronger of constitution than Rush or Ann or Bill O'Reilly or Hannity could ever think to be. Maybe if they ever once in their life had to endure an ordeal anywhere near the severity of Graeme and his sister, they would perhaps then know what it feels like to be human and then they might start acting accordingly. As it is, they enjoy piling it on to the defenseless. They're nothing but political bullies and their schtick is not comedy but cruelty. Maybe their Dittoheads et al find it all so amusing but thinking and feeling people know that when a bully attacks someone who is weaker than them, they are only doing so out of their own low self-eteem and feelings of inadequacy. They chastise the weak so that the rest of the world won't find out what kind of fraud they are. Well, Dahling Arianna. At least, you're not buying it.

It's sad to see the Democrats use a 12 year old as a sympathy ploy for this hyped bill. Senator Reid attempted to pander to make Americans "feel guilty" about it. That is not leadership. The bill could not pass on its own merits. Limbaugh is an entertainer, so it appears the Democrats in Congress and most of cable news. No one watches MSNBC because it correlates to NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, and so on. Olbermann reminds me of another propagandist of the 1930s.

Olbermann is the propagandist?!?! Are you freaking kidding me?

Actually, no, Olbermann is just an angry hater. If your're really wanting to know the propagandists check the dem presidential candidates. Uh, right, the repub ones ain't much better.

Dipwad:

The bill never was considered on its merits. It was demonized by calling it socialized medicine (which of course, because it uses private health care providers, it is NOT). I dare the Reps to stop demonizing it and let it stand or fall on its merits. The government pays for lots of things for poor and middle classes, and even lots of things for the wealthy classes (oil depletion allowances anyone?) We pay for health care for seniors. This is not socialized medicine. Stop lying and put it up for a vote.

If you do not believe the healthcare proposals put forth by both parties are not socialist, just wait until the silent party of the debate weighs in.......the medical professionals. Who do you think killed Hideous Hillary's proposal under the Immoral One's presidency?

I"ll bet that most repug sheep don"t even know what Socialized means. Rush just has to say it in the same tone of voice as he says "liberal" (they don"t know the meaning of that word either and nether do most people who are liberal by definition but afraid of the taint systematically put on it by the neo-cons) and his sheeple think it"s evil. Socialized Medicine IS what Jesus would do.

So "blurred truth" basically you work for Rush and his masters? Do you have any original (non-talking point) thoughts on this issue? Didn't think so. Next you will be telling us that Fox News is the only unbiased source of information on the air. We see you for what you are, a tool of industry.

Here's a fine example of why I could never be a Republican.

This is bullshit. When Rush is "on" he's a Republican oracle and cited as an authority; when he's off and says things that are thoroughly morally corrupt (attacking Michael J. Fox and making fun of his Parkinson's disease; his "phoney soldiers" attack) he's "just an entertainer."

Here's the issue: Senator Reid put a face on the SCHIP plan with Graeme Frost. I'm wondering if blurredtruth has the same problem with putting a face on an issue when Bush uses our troops for photo-ops or 9/11 families to prop-up his phoney war?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 11:55 AM on 10/21/2007

The only way conservatives can win is to make ad hominem attacks. The kid in question is the perfect illustration of who benefits from SCHIP. There is absolutely nothing wrong with him speaking in favor of a program that helped him. The Republicans can't attack the substance of the program so they have to go after the messenger. Pathetic.

Yes, what was once the Republican "lunatic fringe", is now the mainstream.

Mainstream Democrats are now like the Reagan Republicans.

And the progressive Dems? They seem to have gone the way of the dodo bird.

ET please help us. We need some extra-terrestrial intervention.

They all play to the money.

It's a sad day when 300 million people can change their collective opinions faster than a palty 400 or so Congress members and a hundred Senators.

AND when those people are SUPPOSED to be the bosses of those Reps and Senators. Only the power of money could make our supposed leaders act like stupid sheep, driven from one ideological pasture to another by the shepherds of political advantage.

And when one lone voice dares speak the truth, that Bush laughs when he sends young men to die (sorry, but I've seen it on TV!), he is castigated by his fellow sheep as if he took a step toward the cliff (when actually it was a step away from it).

This story needs to stay in the public for as long as it takes to make the majority of America see what these hate merchants really are, vile. Please keep this story going it needs to be heard.

Hate merchants- that's a good description. It is really odd how the authorian mindset works- submissive to their leader and enraged, venonous attacks on the perceived enemies of their leader. This Graeme Frost attack is mind blowing.

Excellent interview Arianna.

I just wish that more folks could have seen this.

Unfortunately, Keith just doesn't have the viewers that would make any vertical impact and this is no slam against Keith. I have enjoyed his wit and humor since he was a Sportscaster in L.A. I have no clue why that hasn"t translated on MSNBC?

The majority of Americans need to hear this and unfortunately again, even if this interview is widely discussed, we will have to rely on Youtube.

CNN Arianna, CNN just to get the audience.

Rush is on the Mighty Mox in St. Louis, KMOX. Haven't listened to that station since the day they put him on the air, and that was many years ago. So, even the "relevant" can become the irrelevant.

I now get all my news updates during the day from MSNBC and watch another 1-2 hours of their programming a day. Signed, No one.

It's really quite telling that so many are so supposedly horrified about what Pete Stark said and are demanding an apology. Particularly his own party. And yet, have we ever heard one republican EVER demand that the poisonous, sociopath Rush Limbaugh apologize?
