HuffPost Reporter Sam Stein Debates Fate Of House Health Reform Bill In The Senate

What's Your Reaction?

HuffPost reporter Sam Stein joined the panel on MSNBC's The Ed Show tonight to discuss the fate of the health care reform bill that passed this weekend in the House. One hot topic for the panel is whether progressives will succeed in forcing the Stupak amendment, a strict anti-abortion provision attached to the House's bill, to be stripped from final legislation. Stein is not optimistic:

If anything through this debate the progressive caucus, as much as they should be applauded for their girls, have been proven that they are easily pushed over. They were opposed to the Stupak amendment in the first go around. They're opposed to negotiating rates for the public option in the first go around. Each time they caved in in the end. I think unfortunately what you'll see is they'll do it again.

This whole rangling back and forth and deal making backroom late night votes are all a good reason to make sure we run Jesse Ventura for president in 2012. It will be nice to have a man with some kahoonies in the white house! At least with Jesse we know what we are getting he never backslided in his life! Jesse in 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw him say this tonight on the Ed show. He's right, the so called Progressive group has absolutely no credibility with anyone and is easily rolled. They'll do whatever Rahm tells them to do.
