I think the McSame ads haven't helped him, personally. I look at the polls and Obama has actually gained since that silliness started airing.

I am not sure why the Obama camp went there, I guess it's because they didn't want to look like they were taking it lying down.

Abrams is adorable. I watch so I can look at him. :P

But what do I know, since apparently the reason I am voting for Obama is that I think he's hot. Not that I studied all the candidate's positions, did an analysis of who I thought would also be the best GE candidate, and that is why I chose him.

what gets me is Joe Watkins, a rightwing commentator goes on MSNBC all the time and repeats all the Mc Cain LIES, about Obamas tax plan, ability to lead and whatever garbage the Mc Cain camp is throwing out today. Then in the very next breath he professes to be a pastor? Is this what religion has become today. Well, not in my little corner of it.

They've gone past "jumping the shark" into "humping the shark" territory.

I've tried watching Abrams show, but I just couldn't digest it. His show is hybrid of CNN's Nancy Grace (missing white girls) and Coundown with KO and it's not working. Also he simply cannot control his guests and ends up looking weak and sleazy. Rachel Maddow should take it from here on.

No kidding. I can't even track with the supposed conceit of the program; what is this "verdict" crap anyway. Who's trying what? And why on earth is it just a rehashing of the Olbermann show which just precedes it?

Obama's "Celebrity" ad has some content--McCain embracing Bush (literally and figuratively); McCain with his entourage of lobbyists.

It starts with the hypocrisy of HIM calling someone else a media creation (all those tv/movie appearances), and ends with the message of "Washington insider".

McCain's "Celebrity" ad (including the version that's running during the Olympics) is content free in images and the messages are actually LIES (Obama WON'T raise taxes on seniors...those earning $42,000, etc).

In tone, McCain's ad is bitter and angry--and willing to deceive in order to achieve it's goal.

If McCain--with his $100 million, 9 luxury homes, private jet, $500,000 (no interest!) credit cards, and entourage of corporate lobbyists guiding his campaign--succeeds in painting OBAMA as an "elitist", there really IS no fairness in media.

i think the celebrity ads on obama by mccain can do obama a favor. obama was vulnerable to the elitist label. this makes him more of a popularist and can deflate any pomposity if he responds with humor and a common approach.

Do you mean populist, or more popular?
