I love Gen Clark...
I have never minded Tucker Carlson until now. Anyone who supports the swift boat veterans for truth, or even dares to give them credibility is, quite frankly, ill-educated on what happened and ignorant of general facts, if I dare to be so redundant. To say that a serious person needs to take these guys seriously and then say they may not have been right on everything is ridiculous. You lose today Mr. Carlson. Just because they were war heroes as some of the swift boaters indeed were, does not give them the right to lie about other people's service. I am not a fan of John Kerry, however, he should not have had his reputation tarnished through obvious lies because he stood up for what he believed, which is what American is supposed to be about even if you do not agree with him. I think the fact that "swift boating" is synonymous with political deceit and trashy behavior is proof that people in the moment are quite stupid and follow stupidity like sheep, but hindsight has a way of improving everyone's judgment.
BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. I watched in disgust last night as first Carlson, then the lady from the Washington Times of all papers first denounced Clark. Then watched Sekoff Wuss-out and stick the knife in. Yesterday on Morning Joe I watched Barnicle and his co-commentator do nothing short of ADVOCATE ON MCCAIN'S behalf against Clark for his statements. Again, I was disgusted.
McCain has chosen to use his military service and his prisoner of war status as a campaign tool in his ads and speeches and as something that "gives him Commander-in-Chief experience.
Clark's comments were RIGHT ON TARGET. Nothing that McCain did in the service is relevant to whether he is qualified to run this country. Clark had the guts to trod on what the MEDIA including Sekoff mistakenly think is SACRED GROUND
Shame on you Roy.
This one's going to backfire on all the talking heads who bashed General Wesley Clark's assesment of John McCain's military functions. Four Star generals are quite qualified to make assesments of various military roles. General Clark has the credentials and the guts to tell it like it is.
As for Tucker, he's been doing the "sour grapes" routine ever since MSNBC cancelled his show. So now he's the resident contrarian trying to look and sound provocative. He's a hack.
The woman (I don't know her name), is just parroting what all the talking heads have been blasting over the past two days. They fail to recognize that General Wesley Clark knows what he's talking about because he's held levels of responsibility in the military that make his assessment of John McCain's military roles viable and worthy of serious consideration.
As for Roy, I'm sorry he didn't back General Clark. I usually respect his opinions.
Meanwhile, outside the vacuum of the MSM, there's an online petition that people are signing in support of General Clark. From what I understand, signatures are pouring in.
Sorry but when Tucker Carlson is part of any show I turn the station I can't stand the man. Him and Lou Dobbs would be great together.
With 'all due respect' the lady, i didn't catch her name, should keep her opinion about what a general can or cannot say to herself. She's a reporter. He's a general. She talked to the general like he was Roy and she needed to school him in how to talk on tv. Talk about being lost in your own bubble. That was pathetic. She was way out of her league. But, all of the panel were out of their league.
Tucker... he's just 'on' all the time with his 'columbo' act going. "(smile)I like Obama, but his fans are like cult followers.(smile)I have never defended McCain, but people are just hating on him.(smile)I'm just saying that it's a good thing that Democrats are evil because it let's everyone know more clearly who the good guys are."
