Dan Abrams totally rocks. Roy needs to get a clue. The only reason her tax return hasn't become a big deal is because the media has decided that she's not going to be the nominee - so it's a non-issue. If she takes Ohio and Texas, you can bet your bippy they'll be all over it. And HuffPost will no doubt be leading the charge.

Her campaign advisors have sucked; no question about it. However, you'd have to be deaf, blind, and dumb to not see the blatant media bias that has been going on for months against HRC. Oh - wait....

Gore was "stiff", Clinton is "abhorrent", and while the media do have the ability to shape the debate, the truth is that people found Gore to be a little stiff, and find Senator Clinton to be highly unlikeable. Further examination by one engaged long enough to intuit what matters beyond this reveals that VP Gore made tragic mistakes with his political soul and has attempted to undo that damage by ignoring those mistakes and focusing on a passion that matters. On the other hand, Senator Clinton continues to make tragic mistakes, ignores or denies them, and pursues a passion to continue down the same tragic road.
Frankly I am surprised that the press didn't continue on the Clinton bandwagon that was 2007. It just goes to show you that it's easier to sell the unilateral murder of innocent civilians than it is to make Senator Clinton palatable.

I remember my parents going gaga over JFK- and especially after the famous debate where Nixon came off rather nervous as opposed to the cool comportment of JFK- that debate put him over the top- if SNL was around then- they'd have an easier time depicting Nixon-- a harder time with the JFK look a like...

Yeah--last nite, Keithie had a crawl reading: Obamanom....cross between
his name and phenom...Something like that. Gosh, Really? You think this
guy is better? Tucker came out and said it at least--"He is just so much
better!" he cried last nite.

Barack Obama has campaigned in such a way that it makes parody difficult. He is a measured person who rarely reacts emotionally to upsetting news. Lorne Michaels himself said Obama would be difficult to satirize. It seems in the place of poking fun at Obama, SNL was forced to make fun of the press.

Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, has invited spectacle time and again through her angry public outbursts and outright mockery of her opponent. It's unfortunate that she has run her campaign in such a manner, for she is an intelligent woman with intelligent ideas.

Because of Hillary Clinton's tactics, I caucused for Barack Obama in Iowa. I have not regretted my decision for a single second since.

Tina Fey had a point when she said "b*tches get things done."

But so do baddass mutha f***ers

The problem for Hillary, of course, is that' s exactly the kind of candidate she's up against

It seems that Dan Adams doesn't understand how The Daily Show works.

I agree. When Dan Abrams thinks he is right, you can't prove it to him that he isn't no matter how hard you try.

I think it's reprehensible and outrageous that our corporate media has been showing such ingratitude toward Senator Clinton. After all, President Clinton signed the Telecommunications Act of 1996 allowing huge multinational corporations to own more and more of our media outlets, increasing their power to make Americans one of the least well-informed electorates in the industrialized world. That they collect hundreds of millions of dollars from candidates (and their donors) to run political ads on the PUBLIC airwaves given to them for next to nothing, just adds insult to the injury they've done poor Hillary.

Ingrates!

I reject and denounce them!

That Roy Sekoff creeps me out. He doesn't look real. Looks and acts like a clown. And his point that because Hillary doesn't release her tax records is why there is media bias? OMG!

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 12:09 PM on 02/29/2008

No.. his point was that if there was conspiracy against HIllary, the media would be all over her tax return and not let it go until she released it. Which hasn't been the case.

Perhaps this won't see light of day, as it is not a comment praising your boy Roy, but I send it along anyway:

A more ineffectual persuader could hardly have been dreamed up in an ad shop with a death wish. He comes off as smug yet uninformed and unready for a serious challenge to his talking point (not that there are so many he has to worry about ), as if his point of view was so obviously correct he is surprised to find it's not accepted everywhere by everybody. Well, it isn't and it won't be, most especially if Roy Sekoff is its spokesmodel.

The media is questioning Hillarry's tactics which is justifiable, they are reporting the fact that she is losing, which she is, they are questioning her spouses unusual presence in a presidential campaign, which it is. They are attacking Hillary because she is dishonest, belligerent and desperate. They are not attacking Barrack because there is nothing to attack. He is honest, forthright, logical and unflappable.

Barrack is like a force of nature: he can effect you, but you can not effect him. He is a leader, not a follower. He is what we desperately need. The media is reporting the facts about Hillary and the facts about Obama. One is negative and one is positive, that is just the facts. There is no there, there.

Don't attack what I said. Demonstrate its falsehood with substantive discourse. There is a reason people are responding to Obama. I have not heard one reasonable critisism. I hear about his middle name, his fathers unpracticed religion, one costume in Africa, one meeting with the Wheather Underground. Maybe you have not noticed but our country is in decline, we are on the way out. Many of us are poorly paid, poorly educated, unhealthy, we are a beggar nation living on credit. The true beievers are following Bush to their grave. But you just go on your marry way until big brother puts you in prison and you have no income , so you have no taxes to pay. If you support the Republican party you are either rich or a fool.

When I read your comment, I was reminded of a childrens story "The Pied Piper of Hamlin". He too was able to lead.
I have been very upset with the News Media ever since this Political Season started (WAY TOO EARLY). It focused on Clinton, Edwards and Obama from the start........They managed to ignore Edwards and then started to focus on getting rid of Clinton.........Obama can do no wrong in their eyes. When something does come out about him....it is soon gone. Wolf Blitzer was asked about this and his answer was ........we can't keep going on a story all day. Get over it....CNN beats a dead horse all day long and into the night.
Another thing that bothers me is a statement I have read on this blog, saying, that they liked Clinton, but were voting for Obama because they didn't want to continue a dynasty. So, if her last name was different........they would vote for her?...........lol

I have thought of the "The Pied Piper" since the beginning of Obomamania. If he is the nominee I hope the press will delve into his background and what he has accomplished besides hope that makes him qualified to be our President. It is very amusing that Wolf and the gang at CNN "cannot keep going on a story all day", when they can spend hours on Brittany and Paris.

Exactly! Perhaps the media, for once have decided to come off their high horse and reflect what Obama supporters are expressing. After all Hill has been on the scene for ever and everyone knows her....Barack has had a very short time to get his message out. The SNL skit was absurd in that once upon time SNL was progressive and edgy and off-beat; now it's gone mainstream. Hill is mainstream and Obama is the idealist, the underdog, who has a talent to muster up support from republicans and independents...it's absolutely fascinating and if we don't take advantage of this moment we're screwed. .the Clintons created so much drama and scandal during their eight year reign, and they're back again for Act 2......we're all sick of them, who wants to watch the same movie over and over again.

I agree too. I support Obama, and I love Olbermann's stick-it-to-em rants, but it makes me feel a little awkward to see him drool over Obama.

Roy stop letting Dan bully you. He's wrong as two left shoes. He's supposed to be brilliant? He didn't even get the fact that the Daily Show was not on SNL's side. And does anyone notice that SNL is in New York...why in the hell wouldn't they be shills for Hillary..And they have everyone quoted them as if they are a bastion of objectivity..DUH?!

never have I seen such blatant bias in the media. so much that I have started to look elsewhwere for unbiased news. SNL hit it right on the spot!

Only Dan BlowHard Abrams would mistake satire for corroborating evidence.
What an idot! Or, maybe he's just savy about pimpin, and juicing up his low ratings.
Get that man a muzzle!
