The Huffington Post's Ryan Grim spoke to MSNBC's Cenk Uygur about the possibility of a government shutdown and the GOP's proposed budget cuts.
Grim explained that John Boehner is "crafting his budget with the audience in mind of his Tea Party caucus. And as long as he's doing that, as long as he's trying to pass a bill through the House with only Republican votes, he's not going to get it through the Senate and this isn't a serious negotiation until he decides that he's going to have to pick up say 40, 50 Democratic votes and then start whipping Republicans hard," explained Grim.
On the topic of the GOP's proposed budget cuts, Grim said, "it's not a controversial thing to say that these cuts will cost thousands of jobs."
