Kennesaw St. knocks off Clark Atlanta 70-60
KENNESAW, Ga. — Kelvin McConnell scored 31 points to lead Kennesaw State to a 70-60 victory over Clark Atlanta on Tuesday night.
McConnell was 7 of 10 from the field and 13 of 14 from the line to lift the Owls (2-1), who shot 48.9 percent (23 of 47) from the field and 40 percent (8 of 20) from the 3-point line.
John-Michael Nickerson scored 15 points to go with 12 rebounds and Kurtis Woods added 12 points for Kennesaw State.
Kevin Johnson led Clark Atlanta (0-1) with 18 points. Garry Beverly added 17 points and Najee Lane scored 16 points and had 10 rebounds for the Panthers.
