EAST LANSING, Mich. — Kalin Lucas scored 20 points to lead eighth-ranked Michigan State to a 67-58 win over Ohio State on Tuesday night.

Michigan State (12-2, 3-0 Big Ten) has won eight straight since being routed by North Carolina and 26 in a row at home, dating to a loss against the Buckeyes nearly two years ago.

The Buckeyes (10-3, 1-2) have lost three of four after starting 9-0.

Raymar Morgan, the reigning Big Ten player of the week, had 13 points and 10 rebounds for his third straight double-double and Goran Suton had nine points and nine rebounds for the Spartans.

Ohio State's William Buford scored 17, B.J. Mullens had 16 points and Evan Turner added 14.

The Buckeyes scored the first basket and led 17-13 before Michigan State took control with five straight 3-pointers.

Freshman Korie Lucious made the first, Chris Allen followed with the next, Lucas broke a tie with a 3-pointer, went ahead with another and Morgan's 3-pointer made it 29-20 with just under 5 minutes left in the half.

The Spartans led 35-24 at halftime, built a 16-point lead early in the second half and held off an Ohio State run that made the scored 44-37.

After the Buckeyes pulled within seven, Lucious made a 3-pointer on the ensuing possession and Michigan State didn't have any trouble maintaining a comfortable cushion the rest of the game.
