LOS ANGELES — The Batman sequel "The Dark Knight" and Golden Globes champ "Slumdog Millionaire" are among films squaring off for top honors from the American Cinema Editors.

The society's 59th annual Eddie Awards nominees Monday for dramatic film editing also include "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," "Frost/Nixon" and "Milk."

Nominees for comedy or musical film editing are "In Bruges," "Mamma Mia!", "Tropic Thunder," "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" and "WALL-E."

The group's six TV categories include editing nominations for such shows as "30 Rock," "Entourage," "Boston Legal" and "The Wire," along with such movies and miniseries as "John Adams," "Recount" and "24: Redemption."

Winners will be announced at a Hollywood ceremony Feb. 15.
