KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A purported Kansas City, Mo., gang leader who was briefly on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted list has been sentenced to three years in prison.

Shauntay Henderson was sentenced Wednesday for armed criminal action and voluntary manslaughter in the September 2006 shooting death of 20-year-old DeAndre Parker. She also must serve five years' probation.

She initially was charged with second-degree murder but was convicted in November of the reduced charges.

Parker was shot in a pickup truck outside a convenience store. The 26-year-old Henderson said Parker was driving toward her and that she shot him in self-defense.

When she was placed on the Most Wanted list, authorities described her as a gang leader and "person of interest" in other homicides. But she was charged only with Parker's death.
