WEST CHESTER, Ohio — FedEx Corp. has said more than 200 jobs will be cut when it closes a shipping terminal in southwest Ohio in January.

FedEx spokeswoman Ann Saccomano (sock-oh-MAHN'-oh), said Tuesday that the company will close its National LTL facility in West Chester north of Cincinnati on Jan. 29. She says the 222 employees losing jobs were notified.

The closing is part of the Memphis, Tenn.-based company's integration of its short-haul and long-haul freight pickup and delivery networks announced in September. Saccomano says the networks were operating independently and about 100 facilities that overlapped will close.

Saccomano says some employees are expected to find other FedEx jobs and there will be no interruption in customer service.
