BOSTON — A Connecticut man has been charged with threatening to blow up a Massachusetts college and kill two staff members.
Federal prosecutors say 23-year-old Sterlynn Robbins of North Branford, Conn., made the alleged threats in a series of text messages to a female student at Stonehill College. Robbins attended the school in Easton until he was expelled following an assault arrest in 2009.
Authorities say in the text messages sent March 17 and 18, Robbins told the student to be on campus "the day I blow it up" and didn't care if he died.
Robbins was arrested Thursday and is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Boston on a charge of transmitting threats.
Court documents did not list a lawyer for Robbins. A home number could not be located.
