BOSTON — Doc Rivers says watching son Austin hit the winning shot for Duke was more fun than coaching.
The Boston Celtics coach says he doesn't have to worry about substitutions or calling timeouts; he can just watch and enjoy himself.
Austin Rivers dribbled down to the final seconds and hit a 3-pointer to give Duke an 85-84 victory over North Carolina on Wednesday night. Doc Rivers was in the crowd with his daughter, cheering Austin on.
Doc Rivers was back in Boston on Thursday night to coach the Celtics against the rival Lakers.
