BLOOMSBURG, Pa. — A central Pennsylvania man accused this year in one of the state's worst cases of animal hoarding says authorities recently found 30 more dogs at his home.
Having more than 25 dogs requires a kennel license.
Ambrosia and his brother Albert pleaded guilty in August to animal cruelty after 185 Chihuahuas were seized from their home in Benton, a small town 110 miles northwest of Philadelphia.
Most of the dogs found Monday were elderly female Chihuahuas. Thomas Ambrosia says the dogs are well cared for.
Dog-law officers with the state Department of Agriculture have declined to comment on the visit.
