NEW YORK — The euro was little changed against the dollar Monday as European finance ministers met in Brussels to discuss the region's debt crisis.
The euro rose slightly to $1.3022 in late trading Monday from $1.3017 late Friday.
The finance ministers met to discuss how to fund a long-delayed bailout for Cyprus and get a region-wide bank rescue fund working. They will meet again on Tuesday.
Later this week, the European Central Bank will meet to set interest rates. No change is expected, but traders will be looking to see if ECB head Mario Draghi offers any hints about the state of Europe's economy.
The British pound rose to $1.5112 from $1.5018.
The dollar fell to 93.42 Japanese yen from 93.58 Japanese yen, to 0.9412 Swiss franc from 0.9436 Swiss franc and to 1.0279 Canadian dollar from 1.0285 Canadian dollar.
