NEW YORK — Stocks are little changed in early trading on Wall Street as investors look ahead to the release of minutes from the latest policy meeting of the Federal Reserve.
The Dow Jones industrial average was up 15 points, or 0.1 percent, at 15,315 after the first few minutes of trading Wednesday.
The Dow has risen for the past four days. The Dow hasn't had a streak of five gains or more since mid-March.
The Standard & Poor's 500 index was down a point at 1,651. The Nasdaq was up two points at 3,507.
Family Dollar Stores reported earnings that beat the estimates of Wall Street analysts. The stock rose 4 percent to $66.43.
The market's gains were being held back by weak trade figures from China.
