PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. — PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. (AP) — Pall Corp. said Tuesday that its board has elected the filtration services company's CEO Larry Kingsley as its chairman.
Kingsley has been the president and CEO of Pall, as well as a member of its board, since October 2011. He succeeds Ronald Hoffman, who is now the board's lead director.
The move comes as some companies are opting to split the two roles. Since corporate CEOs answer to their boards of directors, headed by the chairman, some shareholders think that having the roles split would result in greater accountability for the CEO.
Pall, based in Port Washington, N.Y., provides filtration services for life science customers.
