DETROIT (AP) — A woman accused of failing to tell US immigration authorities about her role in a deadly bombing in Israel is expected to make her first appearance in Detroit federal court.

Rasmieh Yousef Odeh became a naturalized citizen in 2004. Nearly a decade later, she's charged with covering up her conviction in an attack that killed two people at a Jerusalem market in 1969.

Odeh, who lives in the Chicago area, is due to make her first appearance Wednesday in Detroit federal court. She was arrested last month and released on bond in Chicago.

The case is filed in Detroit because eastern Michigan is where the 66-year-old gained U.S. citizenship. If convicted, she could lose it.

Odeh is associate director at the Arab American Action Network, a Chicago-area group.
