FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — More than 528,000 travelers are expected to pass through Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport during the Thanksgiving holiday week.
An airport statement released Friday says the holiday period runs from Nov. 24 through Dec. 1.
The Broward County Aviation Department anticipates an average of 66,000 passengers a day during those days. Aviation officials expect the busiest travel days to be Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.
The airport statement also said that available airline seats are down two percent compared to the same period last year.
