TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Levi Randolph had 17 points to lead six double-figure scorers as Alabama defeated Stillman College 102-65 in the first round of the Preseason NIT Tournament.
Retin Obasohan had 15 points, Nick Jacobs 13 points, Trevor Releford and Algie Key 12 points each, and Carl Engstrom 11 points for the Crimson Tide (2-1).
Daniel Bryant led Stillman with 17 points, Stanley Magee 12 points and Justin Harris had 10 points. Douglas Anderson had nine rebounds.
Ahead 52-41 at the 19:16 mark, Alabama went on a 38-9 run that broke the game open. The Crimson Tide held a commanding 90-50 lead, its largest lead of the game, with 6:04 left. It was the first time Alabama scored at least 100 points since 2005.
The win enabled the Crimson Tide to advance to the second round of the South Regional where they will play Georgia State tomorrow night.
