MILWAUKEE (AP) — Elizabeth Williams scored 23 points and Alexis Jones added 19 as second-ranked Duke remained undefeated with a 78-61 non-conference victory over Marquette on Sunday.

Marquette (4-1) trailed 33-24 at the half and stayed close early after the break, pulling within 46-38, but Duke scored seven straight, opening a 53-38 lead on Chelsea Gray's 3-pointer with 13:00 remaining.

Katie Young had 21 points and Katherine Plouffe added 17 for the Golden Eagles.

The Blue Devils (5-0) played without 6-foot-3 senior forward Haley Peters, their leading rebounder, who injured her right knee on Thursday in an 88-69 victory over Vanderbilt.

The Golden Eagles used a 10-point run to take a 19-16 lead midway through the first half, but Duke responded with a 17-2 spurt to go in front 33-21.

Marquette was hampered in the first half by 12 turnovers, which Duke converted into 14 points.
