BUIES CREEK, N.C. (AP) — Andrew Ryan and Antwon Oliver both led Campbell with 14 points on Wednesday to help secure a 62-55 victory over NAIA school St. Andrews.
Both teams shot similarly from the floor (47.7 percent for St. Andrews and 46.2 percent for Campbell) but Campbell grabbed six more offensive rebounds than the Knights for second-chance points.
Ryan and Oliver had three steals each, accounting for six of seven steals for the Fighting Camels (3-3). Oliver shot 60 percent from the field after coming off the bench.
St. Andrews trailed by three points at the half and was led by Aaron Smith with a game-high 19 points. The Knights managed to cut the deficit to two with 16:10 left in the game, but an 11-2 run followed for Campbell and stretched its lead to 11 points. St. Andrews was unable to get closer than three points for the rest of the matchup.
