Blending a family into one family has been one of the best things I have ever

experienced in my life. The years have been filled with laughter, learning, tears, fears

and evenly distributed angst. I have grown beyond I could ever imagine and have

watched my family grow and create a impermeable bond. The process was stricken

with ego related issues on everyone’s part. Growing had to be done, because turning

around was not an option. And then it’s discovered that it was all worth it.

I am a mother to six, a wife to one. I am a Life Specialist specializing in families in

transition with young children and adolescents. I create website concepts, am a

photographer and a writer. My most recent writings are dedicated to where there are family stories and very bold statements that may

make some upset and others thankful that the words have been written. There is much

more to write and the boldness is mild but guaranteed to become extreme because I

think many of the rules blended families have been using as guidelines need to be

revisited, revised and replaced with two goals in mind - truth and validation.
