What is the future of work? This is a very big, interesting, complex, yet simple question. It is probably the single, biggest question I get asked the most. In this episode of The Future in 5, I give my view on what is the future of work. When I ask an audience what is the first thing that comes to mind when they think about the future of work, I get a variety of answers such as Millennials, technology, organizational structure, leadership and management, and more. But, here's the thing ─ all of these topics are a part of the future of work. I believe I have been able to consolidate these major factors into three very, very broad components of the future or work. I explain in detail the acronym I created, FAC: "F" for freedom or flexibility, "A" for autonomy, and "C" for choice or customization. I think these three areas paint a really good picture of where the future of work is heading. Let's face it, when you look at the future of work, it is actually the future of our lives because we spend more hours of the day working than doing anything else. What do you think is the future of work is going to look like? Tune in for the full discussion and leave me your comments!
