Help Al Gore Win Another Popular Vote.

Next Tuesday Al Gore's new book, "The Assault On Reason" comes out and already we're running into wingnutty meltdown about it.

It got me thinking.

Right now, it's #18 on Amazon's Best Sellers list. What if we can make it #1 by Tuesday?

Can you imagine the horror? It makes me smile.

So please, go over to Amazon and pre-order it right now if you can. Buy one copy for yourself and one for someone else, preferably a right wing friend.

I'm buying one for Ron Christie. I was just on MSNBC facing off against Ron about Al Gore and Ron just couldn't wait to repeat the old lies and smears.

"Al Gore claims he invented the Internet."

Let's settle this once and for all.

In a CNN interview with Wolf Blitzer, then Vice President Al Gore said:

"During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet."

And guess what? That's what is called the truth. Because Al Gore helped take a governmental program and helped make it public.

It's a fact. Here's some of the back-up from people involved in the project.

The hero quote as they say:

"Al Gore was the first political leader to recognize the importance of the Internet and to promote and support its development."

This, in my interpertation not his, is part of the assault on reason.

What Gore did that should be commended and held in high regard for is actually being used against him.

We have lost our perspective as a country. We think it's bad that John Kerry speaks French or that Al Gore cares about the future. Enough is enough.
