Fox or MSNBC, which is more fair and balanced?

For a strong Obama supporter, MSNBC must be a pleasure to watch. If you are remotely neutral in the democratic primary, MSNBC seems pretty biased. It makes the Huffpo seem almost neutral. Fox news, on the other hand, is often providing some decent reporting and analysis of the primaries. Conservatives in general don't seem to have a dog in the hunt. McCain is not one of theirs. Unlike the Fox reporting in the Kerry/Bush match up, or the run-up to the Iraq war, they seem, from time to time, to be acting somewhat like journalists. Even the right-win pundits like Hannity or O'Rielly don't seem to be pushing a line as much Chris Mathews. And, Alan Colmes seems to be less lame these days.

I'm sure this will change as we approach the November election, but it is a bit surprising.

I watched the CNN, FOX and MSNBC (third rated network) coverage last night. I was a bit surprised that FOX seemed a little less biased and more informative than in the past. On MSNBC, Tom Brokaw's appearances are the most balanced and thoughtful. Russert and Matthews are reprobates. Sadly, Olbermann shows that he isn't really a journalist, but rather a he's a sportscaster (remember?) who can't help but show who his favorite team is. CNN, for all it's faults is still the most fair and informative.

Fox News like CNN are working all out for Hillary but for different reasons. Fox wants her to win because it will be so easy to show how unethical and corrupt Clinton is so McCain can win easily and CNN wants Clinton to win so we can have two pro-war candidates in the general election and get on with the serious warmongering against Iran.

Well said. Beware of the wolf in sheep's clothing, or should I say: beware of the journalist in Fox' clothing?
