I can't see why Andy Yaco-Mink or any other Huffpo employee should not feel free to comment on the Huffpo blogs. He was basically accused of doing something that he should be free to do. Given the wide range (in terms of quality and tone) of comments one sees, you have to wonder why this could even be considered an issue, particularly since he was posting messages under his own name. He, and the other Huffpo staff who keep the thing running, surely have opinions about the same things the rest of us do. The whole conspiracy allegations didn't amount to anything, so maybe this too can be put behind us.
Jonah Peretti's comment that "the tech staff's primary responsibility is to support our contributors and critical comments send the wrong message," was nice, but maybe too nice. If you are going to blog on a list that accepts comments, and talk about issues of controversy, people are going to disagree. We can handle that, even coming from Andy Yaco-Mink.
