Jane Kleeb founder of the statewide grassroots advocacy group, Bold Nebraska, is a leader in the fight against the Keystone XL pipeline.

Whether she is organizing citizens, communicating as a pundit, or serving on the local school board, Jane always ensures citizens voices are at the heart of her work.

Jane has been a frequent guest on FOX and MSNBC often pushing back on right-wing talking points and debating oil representatives. She was MTV’s Street Team reporter for Nebraska during the 2008 election year. In late 2011, Jane testified in front of Congress in opposition of the Keystone XL pipeline.

During the health care debate, Jane led Nebraska's Change That Works, mobilizing thousands of citizens to help pass reform. Serving as the national executive director of the Young Democrats of America Jane transformed the organization to focus on peer-to-peer voting models and raised over $3 million dollars during her tenure. Other highlights of her career include serving as a founding chair of the Democratic National Committee’s Youth Council, foundation director for a mental health facility and director of a local AmeriCorps program.

A key advisor for a ground-breaking eating disorder documentary titled “Thin,” which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and aired on HBO, Jane worked with patients and families. In 2011, she served as an advisor for the documentary “Pipe Dreams” which followed the story of Nebraska's farmers and ranchers in their fight to protect their land and water from TransCanada's export pipeline.

Jane Kleeb (formerly Fleming) lives in a small rural town Hastings, Nebraska with her three young girls and husband Scott Kleeb, CEO of Energy Pioneer.
