Last school year when I was cramming in months worth of world history study for my AP test, I stayed up all night listening to BBC Radio 1. A couple of songs stood out to me and other songs just drifted past me. It was late. I was tired and ready to get midnight study session over. I was not on the search for new artists. However, I heard Haim, and I was not ready to sleep. I had to figure out this band and their songs to go and download.

I logged onto my laptop and tried to find out who this new band was. They are Haim, pronounced "Hi-am." Haim is a band made up of three sisters, Este, Danielle and Alana 'Baby' Haim. Haim's indie rock/pop album, Days Are Gone, is out and released. They are already the most-talked about band at the moment.

They made their debut by being at the top of the chart in the UK. These LA natives are taking Europe by a storm. They played at the huge Glastonbury Music Festival and were the big winner at Sound of Music.

They are on tour right now traveling all around the United States. Haim will be going on a large extensive European and UK tour for 2014. For now, their album is already topping UK No. 1 spot for albums.

One Direction member Harry Styles loves them too. He tweeted:

Just downloaded the new @HAIMtheband album. I've been waiting for this one. http://haaa.im/HKMdvk

Their newest and released music video is "The Wire." Check it out. Haim will be taking over the music scene this year. Be on the lookout.
